The groups will start in September. 

You will have to study certain modules and then we will practice these topics in the speaking sessions via Zoom. 

Groups from 4 people. Lessons once a week - 90 minutes (4 times a month). If one or two students attend the particular lecture, length - 60 minutes. All lessons will be recorded.

Price 188/month (subscription plan, tax inclusive). You will be able to enrol in September. Please send an e-mail to dace@latvianonline to save your spot. 

Length: 12 lessons (3 months). If the group agrees, we can continue after this period as well.

I limit the number of participants to keep each group personal, so when you take a spot, you're making commitment to yourself and the group that you will study for 3 months.❤️

  • Read and write simple texts in Latvian. Finally you will be able to message your Latvian colleagues, friends and family!
  • Understand spoken Latvian – Follow real-life dialogues and recognize common words and phrases.
Irene's 4th VIP session. In VIP 1:1 sessions (private lessons via Zoom), we practice, drill the new grammar forms, vocabulary.

How does it work?
  • During this course you will work on four skills, that are equally important: Reading, writing, listening and speaking.
  • You will get access to a wide range of materials: presentations with recorded audio, PDF files, writing, listening, speaking tasks, and interactive games.
  • The programme is as detailed as possible. You will find programmed feedback in writing, listening, and reading tasks. You will not be left wondering why it was or wasn't correct.
  • The listening tasks are authentic. Real life conversations at a real pace to get you used to real-life listening. 
  • If you still have any questions, you will be able to ask them on the platform or on Telegram. I will get back to you in one-to-five business days. 
  • You can practice whenever you want.
  • BONUS: Writing and speaking tasks with my personal feedback. I will read your assignments, correct your mistakes and I will send them back to you. In order to practice speaking, you will have to record yourself on your device, upload the recording on the platform, I will listen to it, and I will send you my feedback. I will get back to you in one-to-five business days.
  • BONUS: Telegram group chat with students from all over the world. Ask questions, participate in different challenges. 
  • BONUS: Speaking challenges with me via Zoom. From time to time I will organise speaking challenges to practice real-life conversation. These challenges are free of charge. They are my gifts to my students.

Dace obviously has put an enourmous amount of work into it and it's been worthwhile because it hands together really logically as a set of lessons. The important thing is that is has taken the fear out of going back to Latvia.
What's available online is a bit patchy and uneven and sometimes just not very good, Dace's videos are different, they are better,it's good, it's professional and I recommend it.

Čau! Mani sauc Dace. Hi! My name is Dace.
I hold a master's degree in legal translation, but I soon realised that I enjoy teaching more than translating. I have been working in the field of education for 7 years. During this time I have found the best methods which help you understand better the language and fall in love with it. Latvian is my first language and I'm a proud Latvian. Teaching my native language is something I really love doing.

Albert Einstein once said:" If you cannot explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." I cannot agree more. Grammar can be complicated, but if you understand it well enough, it's actually pretty simple. 

My students trust me from all over the world: Latvia, USA, UK, Japan, Canada, Australia etc. Because of the time difference, some of my students wake up as early as 6 am to study Latvian. I created this online course to help you learn Latvian anytime and anywhere you want! Sounds good, right?
